Chapter 3 SYSTEM SCANNING HARDWARE OVERVIEW
نویسنده
چکیده
Since all the image data need in this research were collected from the highly modified AS&E 101ZZ system, it is important to give an overview to this scanning hardware. Section 3.1 gives a system hardware overview. Section 3.2 discusses issues regarding xray detectors and image preprocessing. Section 3.3 discusses the relationship between the x-ray signal intensity and the image gray level. Section 3.4 discusses the noise present in the AS&E system. Section 3.5 summarizes this chapter.

In the previous chapters we have seen how a wide variety of types of geographic data can be created and stored. Methods of digitizing and scanning allow geographic data to be created from paper maps and photographs. Powerful computing hardware makes it possible to store large amounts of data in forms that are readily amenable to manipulation and analysis using the routines stored in powerful so...

This chapter explains the process how PeaCE generates the software/hardware codes for a specific prototyping board. PeaCE automatically generates target C and VHDL codes with interface codes including device drivers. In the current release, we target the ARM versatile prototyping system and Linux 2.4.x and 2.6.x for device driver generation. To use another prototyping board and OS, you need to ...
متن کاملHARDWARE-DEPENDENT SOFTWARE Introduction and Overview
Rapidly rising system complexity has created a growing productivity gap in the design of electronic systems. One critical component is Hardware-dependent Software (HdS), the importance of which is often underestimated. In this chapter, we introduce HdS and illustrate its role in the overall system design context. We also provide a brief overview and define a basic HdS terminology and conclude w...

This chapter provides an introduction to evolvable hardware. First, the basic idea of evolvable hardware is outlined. Because evolvable hardware involves the integration of programmable logic device and evolutionary computation, these are both explained briefly. Then, an overview of current research on evolvable hardware is presented. Finally, the chapter discusses some directions for future re...
